On the date of the fifteenth, by lunar calendar, a shaman goes to the place where two courses of the river water meet into one. People called the place ‘Dumulmory’, which means the head place where two waters meet into one. In Dumulmory, the point where the two courses of the river waters really meets is Dumulkyung, whose picture you are now seeing. In front, you are now seeing South Han River, and you can also see a small portion of the North Han River on the right upper part of the picture.

The picture is from Dumulkyung to the upper side of the South Han River.

The picture is from the same point of Dumulkyung to the upper side of the North Han River.

A parking lot near Entrance. It used to be a neatly arranged parking lot, but it is now under newly changing ground blocks.

On your right of the pathway to Dumulmory, you can see a patch of dry field, on which there always grows something green.

You can see so many lotuses around Dumulmory, a portion of riverside is occupied by a group of lotuses.

The pantoon bride which is to the Semiwon, a flower garden.

The pantoon bridge, from the front side.

The pantoon bridge, from the near right side.

After the pantoon bridge, you can see a pond full of lotuses.

The flowers of the lotuses began to blooming in another small pond of the area.

Before you reach Dumulkyung, you can see a zelkova, of which age is 400 years. Perhaps the tree must have witnessed so many shamans who were waiting a black man. The tree is 26 meter high.

There is a dolmen just in front of the zelkova. Some scholars explain that the holes on the zelkova meant the Big Dipper in the sky. Some scholars explain that it was a kind of altar in front of which the primitive men who were to go across the river prayed for their safety.

The zelkova from some distance. Now Dumulmory is a good place for young couples to spend a good spring day for hours.

Now, a bridge is built which is from one side of the river to the other, so you dont need any boats to cross the river. But before you have the bridge, probably the boats like the one in the picture must have been the only means of transportation of necessity.

In Dumulmory, the foremost place in which two courses of the river waters meet is Dumulkyung. The letters curved into the stone means Dumulkyung.
